I am installing a program via the publish wizard in vb. I get the files to install it on a usb drive and go around to install on all the computers, and about 9 out of 10 fail, and I have to install it manually (create folder, copy files, set file associations and icons).
I have not found a pattern. It will fail on windows 7 and 8, but it has worked on both as well. All users have admin privileges. It tells me that the ***.application is improperly formated. what exactly does that mean? I know the installer works, but don't know why it won't on some machines.
Also, since I am new to click once. What are the advantages / disadvantages of using it vs a .msi installer? Thanks, Victor.
