I read a claim that the VB6 runtime files were not meant to install on anything later than XP. Because newer Windows have them already. And if you try to install old runtime files on win7, 8 or 10, it could be dangerous to the PC.
I stopped including runtime files in my packages. But am wondering, if there is truth to it being a 'bad' idea?
I havent actually seen anything on microsoft that VB6 runtime files are included in newer windows, so hopefully they actually are or I've got a lot of users downloading my apps and not getting them to work.............
